Job Details
- Represent clients in court, before government agencies, or in private legal matters.
- Communicate with clients, colleagues, judges, and others involved in the case.
- Conduct research and analysis of legal problems.
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
- Present facts in writing and verbally to their clients or others, and argue on behalf of their clients.
- Prepare and file legal documents, such as lawsuits, appeals, wills, contracts, and deeds.
- Manage and oversee paralegals and legal assistants.
- Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
- Guide and advise clients in taking appropriate legal action.
About the Role
My client is growing and is seeking to hire an associate attorney. Their philosophy is that attorneys learn best through mentorship and hands-on experience. In this role, you will work closely with partners, associates, and support staff in a highly collaborative environment. You will have the opportunity to take depositions, attend mediations, evaluate cases, work with experts, draft pleadings, participate in hearings and trials, and interact directly with clients.

Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar.
- Proven background of successful litigation.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make well-reasoned legal arguments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team and independently.
