About the role

The Portfolio Analytics & Reporting team delivers timely and accurate portfolio track records, performance reporting, and risk metrics for both internal and external stakeholders. The team collaborates closely with Product Specialists, Investor Relations, Fund Accounting, Operations, Valuation, Deal Execution, and Technology teams.

HPS is seeking an Associate to join the Portfolio Analytics & Reporting team in New York, NY, focusing on the PFS Liquid Credit platform.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, track, and analyze performance at the investment, portfolio, and fund level.
  • Create and update client portfolio reports (monthly, quarterly, ad hoc); prepare ongoing and ad hoc investor data requests, fund performance queries, and reports while collaborating with Valuation, Fund Accounting, and Investor Relations teams.
  • Ensure the ongoing quality and accuracy of performance reporting; maintain the integrity of internal processes and databases used to track key performance and investment metrics (e.g., industry, sector, country, investment type, market cap, leverage, regional exposures).
  • Assist in the operational due diligence of existing and potential new investors.
  • Coordinate and interact with Investor Relations, Compliance, Portfolio Managers, and Operations around new product launches, client servicing, and custom requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business-related field (Finance, Economics, Accounting, etc.).
  • 4–7 years of relevant portfolio analytics experience, preferably within the alternative asset management industry (Private Credit, Private Equity, Hedge Funds, etc.).
  • A strong understanding of credit and financial markets.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and finance.
  • Exceptionally strong Excel skills.
  • Strong organizational and process management skills.
  • A demonstrated strong work ethic and desire to work in a collaborative, small-team environment.
  • Python and SQL knowledge is a plus.

Pay

For New York, NY, the salary range for this position is USD $105,000.00 – USD $135,000.00. Employees are also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and benefits, including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates on a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy, and total compensation may vary based on role, location, firm, department, and individual performance.

Schedule

BlackRock’s hybrid work model requires employees to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office based on their roles and responsibilities. New joiners can expect this hybrid model to accelerate their learning and onboarding experience.
