About the position

This position offers the opportunity to help manage a dynamic multi-billion dollar corporate and leveraged finance portfolio across various verticals. You will work closely with our sponsor coverage teams and industry specific sector teams, risk management and our portfolio analytics team. The position requires a self-starter who can independently analyze credit, contribute to deal processes and projects, while operating at various levels of seniority in different situations.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in economics / finance / accounting / mathematics with excellent results. An advanced degree and/or a CFA is a plus.
  • You have experience working for a US regulated bank and are familiar with all aspects of Fed / OCC requirements
  • You have previously received credit training and have a solid understanding of cash flow financing transactions
  • 2 – 3 years of leveraged finance experience considered for Associate
  • Formal credit training is a plus
  • Excellent understanding of accounting statements & principles
  • Corporate finance background – financial market experience is necessary
  • Understand debt structuring and able to make recommendations when appropriate
  • Basic understanding of legal documentation
  • Excel spreadsheets: three statement financial modeling skills are a must
  • You possess strong communication skills – writing sample required
  • You have strong credit skills – understand how to properly analyze risk
  • You are highly detailed in your work
  • You are self-motivated and willing to work in a deal oriented and deadline driven environment
  • You can manage and prioritize competing demands
  • You desire to work in a collaborative manner in contribution of team objectives

Pay

Salary Range: $155,000-175,000
