Associate / Lead Dentist - $10k Sign-On Bonus

As a Dentist at Tend, you'll deliver exceptional clinical care in a modern, technologically advanced studio. You'll treat a diverse range of cases, from basic to complex, and have the opportunity to lead and mentor a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a full spectrum of high-quality clinical services, including restorative care and cosmetic dentistry.
• Perform comprehensive exams to diagnose the whole person, addressing issues like malocclusion, occlusal wear, and sleep-disordered breathing.
• Develop thoughtful, member-centered treatment plans grounded in clinical findings and honest risk assessment.
• Lead the adoption and growth of clear aligner treatment and sleep therapy solutions.
• Manage a dynamic schedule, balancing operative procedures, hygiene checks, aligner starts, and same-day treatment opportunities.
• Drive production through proactive diagnosis, completion of full treatment plans, and efficient use of chair time.
• Deliver a hospitality-driven member experience, ensuring clear communication and understanding of care options.
• Partner closely with dental assistants, hygienists, and studio leadership to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.
• Mentor and coach dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants in diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical execution.
• Lead daily huddles and clinical calibrations focused on workflow, member care, and continuous improvement.
• Own complex cases and member escalations, using empathy and confidence to resolve issues effectively.

Requirements

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
• Current, active dental license in the state you’re applying for.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Active DEA registration.
• Minimum 2 years of experience (post residency) in private practice, DSO, or similar setting for Associate Dentists.
• Extensive clinical experience (typically 6+ years post-residency) and proven ability to lead, mentor, and elevate the performance of dentists within a multi-chair practice environment for Lead Dentists.
• Invisalign certification.
• Comfort with modern technology and a willingness to adopt digital workflows.
• Ability to work a Full Time schedule consisting of 4 days per week + 2 Saturdays per month or a Part Time schedule consisting of 2-3 days per week including some Saturdays.

Pay

The compensation range for this role is $175,000 USD - $425,000 USD, with a top-earning potential of $425,000+. The compensation model rewards high-quality clinical care, comprehensive treatment, and strong production.

Schedule

This role requires a Full Time schedule consisting of 4 days per week + 2 Saturdays per month or a Part Time schedule consisting of 2-3 days per week including some Saturdays.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform the essential job duties listed, with or without reasonable accommodation. Essential physical requirements include:

• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods while performing clinical procedures.
• Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to handle dental instruments and perform precise procedures.
• Adequate vision (with or without correction) to read charts, interpret radiographs, and operate clinical equipment.
• Able to bend, reach, and maintain ergonomic positioning for patient care.
• Occasional lifting or movement of equipment and supplies up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, team members, and other healthcare professionals in person and via technology.
