Responsibilities
- Provide employment counseling to management clients
- Advise clients on compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Participate in business development activities
- Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents
- Prepare and respond to discovery requests
- Take and defend depositions
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Present oral arguments before administrative agencies and courts
Requirements
- 2-4 years of employment law experience on the defense side
- Solid litigation experience, including motion practice, court appearances, drafting and responding to discovery requests, and ideally taking/defending depositions
- Strong research and brief writing skills
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
Qualifications
- JD degree and strong academic credentials
- Admitted in (and in good standing with) the California Bar

$230,000 - $285,000 annual base salary
