Responsibilities

  • Oversee research and financial analysis of financial implications of mergers and acquisitions.
  • Prepare offering memoranda, transaction-related documents, management and client presentations, and manage data room preparation and due diligence processes.
  • Construct detailed and sophisticated financial models, company valuations, and mergers and acquisition transaction comparisons based on research findings and client analysis.
  • Gather industry, regulatory, and economic information, company financial statements, financial periodicals, and publications to extract relevant data for financial forecasting.
  • Provide in-depth quantitative financial analysis for business, industry, and economic forecasting.
  • Identify emerging market trends and regulatory changes within investment and advisory domains; develop strategies to secure investment opportunities and expand the firm’s market presence.
  • Review credit documents, merger documents, and other legal documents to analyze transactional-related issues and considerations.
  • Engage in execution activities, including data gathering, in-depth analysis, material preparation, and managing standard processes such as preparing deal documentation.
  • Prepare analytical materials to support credit, compliance, engagement committee, and balance sheet approvals.
  • Interpret data concerning price, yield, stability, and future trends in investment risks and economic influences relevant to investments.
  • Conduct corporate operations reviews, portfolio analytic reviews, and prepare risk/return valuations and board presentations.
  • Gather and process market share data, shareholder, and investor profiles.
  • Interact closely with clients, particularly senior management teams.
  • Provide mentorship and supervision to Analysts performing research and analysis on transactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Two (2) years of financial analysis or related experience in the investment banking industry, including:
    • Financial modeling
    • Business valuation analysis
    • Corporate finance
    • Preparing client presentations
    • Transaction structuring and legal documentation review and analysis
    • Sector-specific benchmarking and strategic research and insights
  • Experience or knowledge in the following:
    • M&A transactions
    • S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg, and FactSet
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
    • Accounting principles and financial statements
    • Regulatory filing and compliance
    • Transaction due diligence, including process management and analytical frameworks
  • Must hold SIE, Series 7, and Series 79 licenses.

Pay

Expected salary for this position is $225,000 per year. Base pay may vary based on market location, experience, skills, education, and other job-related reasons.
