Associate Instructional Designer - eLearning (1099 Contract)

About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Associate Instructional Designer (contractor) to assist our instructional design team in creating an online Bachelor's Degree program. In this role, you will input already-developed content into our proprietary e-learning platform. Full training will be provided on the process. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring instructional designer to gain hands-on experience and increase your e-learning and instructional design knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Populate educational content and assessments into our proprietary e-learning platform efficiently and accurately
- Conduct review of your populated digital lessons to verify formatting, functionality, and overall accuracy
- Seamlessly communicate and collaborate with the other members of our Instructional Design team
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of progress and completion
- Participate in Zoom meetings 1-3 times per week
Requirements
- A general understanding of e-learning software (e.g., experience with programs such as Articulate, Captivate, or similar)
- Strong technical prowess and ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies
- At least 3 years of solid business or educational industry experience
- A Bachelor's degree is required (transcripts will be required if a contract is offered per our accreditation standards)
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent and timely communication skills, including providing and sticking to a schedule
- A high level of organizational skills and attention to detail
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Experience designing or delivering educational curriculum at the university level
- Hands-on experience with G-Suite
Schedule
- 20-40 hours per week (preference for candidates who can devote 35-40 hours per week)
- 2-3 months of work, with the possibility of extension
- 100% remote
Pay
Hourly rate of $25-$30/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Contractor must possess own computer equipment and internet access. This is a 1099 contractor position with no benefits.
