Associate Infection Preventionist, Infection Preventionist and Senior Infection Preventionist

About the Role

This is a combined posting for three levels of Infection Preventionist roles: Associate Infection Preventionist, Infection Preventionist, and Senior Infection Preventionist. Consideration for each role will be based on qualifications. If you meet the requirements for any of these positions, you are encouraged to apply.

Role Descriptions

• Senior Infection Preventionist:

  Considered an expert in Infection Prevention. Expected to work autonomously and serve as a mentor to other infection preventionists.

• Infection Preventionist:

  A specialized role focused on infectious disease surveillance and reporting. Works predominantly autonomously and collaborates closely with other surveillance specialists and analysts as part of a system-wide surveillance program.

• Associate Infection Preventionist:

  An entry-level position for Infection Prevention. Requires a sufficient healthcare background but only basic infection prevention/epidemiology knowledge, as most training will occur on the job.

Requirements

Senior Infection Preventionist

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology, or related health sciences field.
• Upon hire: National Certified in Infection Control (CIC) - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology.
• 2 years of Healthcare experience.
• 2 years of Epidemiology or Infection Prevention experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology, or related health sciences field.
• 10 or more years in Healthcare experience.
• 10 or more years of Epidemiology or Infection Prevention experience.

Infection Preventionist

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology, or related health science field.
• Within 1 year of hire: Certified in Infection Control (CIC) - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology.
• 1 year of Healthcare Experience.
• 1 year of Epidemiology Experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology, or related health science field, or equivalent education/experience.
• 4 years of Healthcare Experience.
• 2 years of Epidemiology Experience.
• Upon hire: Certified in Infection Control (CIC) - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology.

Associate Infection Preventionist

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology, or related health science field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• a-IPC (Associate - Infection Prevention and Control).

Pay

• Senior Infection Preventionist: $48.65 - $76.80 per hour
• Infection Preventionist: $42.08 - $65.32 per hour
• Associate Infection Preventionist: $37.39 - $58.05 per hour

These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
