The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in supporting all warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, order picking, staging, loading, unloading, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, inspect, and process incoming raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
  • Load outbound shipments accurately and safely while ensuring all shipping standards are met.
  • Pick, stage, and prepare production orders and customer orders for shipment or internal use.
  • Secure pallets for shipments with freight carriers.
  • Perform checks after each movement of pallets to catch errors.
  • Conduct daily cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Verify shipment accuracy against purchase orders, shipping documents, and inventory records.
  • Maintain staging lanes, packaging areas, and warehouse storage areas in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Attend Shift meetings and complete Safety Skills Monthly.
  • Follow all GMP, food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Clock in effectively with production, quality, shipping, receiving, and warehouse teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse operations.

About You

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or forklift experience is preferred.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification through Barry Callebaut is required.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is necessary.
  • A strong attention to detail and commitment to safety are key.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted is required.
  • The ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, and climb throughout the shift is necessary.
  • The ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and machinery is required.
