Associate IAM Engineer

About the role
The Associate IAM Engineer supports the day-to-day operations of the identity and access management environment, with a primary focus on operational support, service continuity, and routine IAM administration. This role assists with user and group management, access provisioning, role assignments, authentication support, ticket resolution, and troubleshooting identity-related issues within Microsoft Entra ID and related platforms. The position helps ensure that IAM services remain stable, responsive, and aligned with operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with standard IAM procedures, document work clearly, support end users and internal stakeholders, and help maintain security and access controls across enterprise systems.
- Contribute to ongoing operations while developing deeper technical experience in identity, security, and infrastructure support.
- Handle special projects and initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to projects and policies required by the particular position; or, education and/or experience which is equivalent.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID services, including user & group administration, access provisioning, role assignments, conditional access, & authentication methods.
- Basic understanding of identity and access management concepts and operational support practices.
- Experience with troubleshooting identity-related issues, account access problems, and user support requests.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems, standard operating procedures, and enterprise support environments.
- Ability to follow technical processes, maintain documentation, and escalate issues appropriately.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced operational setting.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related computer discipline.
- Relevant experience in IAM, technical operations, system administration, or IT support work; qualifying experience may include internships, co-op assignments, or other hands-on experience in IAM or closely related technical environments.
Schedule
Due to the necessary technical duties of this position in a 24/7 operation, candidate may be required to work various shifts such as weekends and/or nights/evenings.
