About the role

We are seeking a Payroll Associate to specialize in backend payroll or post-processing tasks. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with payroll tax processing.

Responsibilities

• Work with state agencies on tax notices
• Handle tax providers, power of attorneys, and third-party authorizations
• Manage multi-state tax experience
• Use Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
• Communicate clearly and effectively
• Show attention to detail in all aspects of the project
• Ensure thorough consideration and execution of all project elements
• Have 2-3 years of high school-level payroll tax experience
• Have a solid foundation in federal, state, and FICA taxes
• Have experience with payroll tax filing
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Have testing experience
• Have two to three years of relevant payroll experience
• Have top skills in attention to detail, self-motivation, and consistency
• Work in a team-oriented environment, handling internal tickets with external tax vendors, conducting testing, and participating in meetings

Requirements

This position requires previous work with state agencies, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel), clear communication, strong attention to detail, and a solid foundation in payroll taxes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma and at least 2-3 years of high school-level payroll tax experience.
