Associate Golf Professional

Essential Duties

• Teach the fundamentals of the golf swing as established by the Director of Instruction
• Participate in designing and implementing ideas to promote golf instruction and bring in additional revenues to the club
• Help to maintain general upkeep of the driving range, lesson tee and storage shed
• Perform all club golf activities including junior golf clinics
• Aid in the development of qualified and certified assistants
• Educate teaching staff throughout the golf season with monthly clinics and/or roundtable sessions
• Cook up and teach clinics on a weekly basis
• Act as a liaison between Golf Digest and the Club regarding golf school schedules, needs, and equipment
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all teaching aids on property including video equipment
• Aid the Director of Instruction with Golf Digest Schools and Troon Institute
• Create lesson plans
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university; or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Physical Demands

• Regularly stands, walks and sits
• Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches
• Frequently uses hands; reaches with hands and arms
• Frequently talks or hears, tastes or smells
• Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds

Environment/Noise

• Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather)
• Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions
• Noise level is moderate

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences

• Ability to read and speak English is required in order to perform the duties of the job
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with computerized POS and tee time system
