About the role

The Global Transportation Finance Group at Vedder has been ranked by Chambers USA as a nationwide Band 1 practice for 19 years and counting. You would join a team of more than 60 lawyers representing major banks, leasing companies, airlines, hedge funds, private equity firms and other investors in a wide range of complex international and domestic transactions focusing on the financing, leasing, acquisition and disposition, restructuring and enforcement of aviation, rail, maritime and general equipment assets.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with shareholders and participate in business development and client-facing activities
  • Manage multiple matters simultaneously
  • Support and encourage career development
  • Represent major banks, leasing companies, airlines, hedge funds, private equity firms and other investors in complex international and domestic transactions
  • Focus on the financing, leasing, acquisition and disposition, restructuring and enforcement of aviation, rail, maritime and general equipment assets

Requirements

  • 2-6 years of transactional experience at a law firm
  • Experience in one or more of the following: securitization, leveraged finance, secured lending, capital markets, maritime, private equity, project finance, structured finance, real estate finance, aviation, rail
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiating skills
  • Organizational skills

Qualifications

  • J.D. degree (or its equivalent)
  • Admitted in (and in good standing with) or taking steps to become admitted in the relevant jurisdiction [California, Illinois, Texas, or Florida]

Pay

$235,000 - $340,000 annual base salary

Schedule

Hybrid work policy with three days a week in-office attendance and two days remote
