Associate General Counsel

About the role

We are looking for a hands-on Assistant General Counsel to partner directly with our business teams. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, you will work across both RAW Nutrition and BUM Energy in a lean, high-ownership legal department where your commercial instincts and regulatory knowledge will have immediate impact. If you thrive on commercial work, consumer brand counseling, and moving fast in an FDA/FTC-regulated environment, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts across both brands: co-manufacturing, supply, distribution, retail, vendor, and services agreements.
• Advise marketing and brand teams on advertising claims, claim substantiation, label compliance, and FDA/FTC regulatory requirements for dietary supplements and beverages.
• Draft and manage influencer, athlete, ambassador, sponsorship, endorsement, and NIL agreements, including social-media terms and disclosure compliance.
• Handle trademark, copyright, trade dress, and advertising clearance matters to protect both brands.
• Manage consumer-protection, privacy, subscription/auto-renewal compliance, and coordinate litigation and regulatory response (including NAD challenges and state AG inquiries) with outside counsel.
• Operate across two affiliated companies, balancing priorities and managing outside counsel relationships and legal budgets.

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing in Florida, or licensed in another U.S. state and eligible for Florida Authorized House Counsel certification under Chapter 17 of the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar.
• 3+ years of in-house legal experience.
• 3 to 5 years of law firm experience.
• Strong commercial and contracts background.

Preferred Qualifications

• Dietary supplement (DSHEA) and food/beverage regulatory experience.
• FTC advertising, claim substantiation, and influencer-disclosure compliance experience.
• Trademark law experience.
• Privacy and data security law experience.

Pay

Base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000 per year based on experience and skillset.
