  • Draft, review, and negotiate key master agreements with enterprise customers and work closely with the Sales organization to close high-value revenue deals.
  • Support DISQO’s privacy initiatives, including GDPR and CCPA, for both end-user-facing services and clients, advising internal teams and structuring data processing agreements.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of policies, forms, trainings, and processes to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with U.S., European, and other international laws.
  • Partner with product and other internal teams to review new uses of personal data for compliance with applicable data protection laws and best industry practices.
  • Work on significant transactions and programs, including privacy, regulatory compliance, and U.S. and international business partnerships.
  • Remain up-to-date on relevant industry, advertising, IP, privacy, data security, and consumer protection laws to provide sound legal and compliance advice.
  • Draft, update, and maintain DISQO’s forms, standard terms, and public-facing documents.
  • Develop trusted relationships with internal teams and improve internal processes to enhance both the legal function and the business overall.

Requirements

  • At least 9 years of combined, relevant experience as in-house counsel within a tech start-up and/or with a major law firm.
  • Excellent legal and business judgment with the ability to think critically, strategically, and creatively; strong ability to analyze and determine practical, real-world risks.
  • Experience working closely with sales leadership and teams to close deals; Adtech experience is a significant plus.
  • Experience working on privacy and data protection matters, including knowledge of U.S. and global privacy and cybersecurity laws (e.g., CCPA/CPRA, GDPR).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide innovative and clear solutions to complex problems while managing multiple projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) on complex issues, explaining legal matters in plain language and balancing benefits and risks.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiating skills, with a mastery of concise contract language.
  • Business-minded: ability to understand business goals, analyze risk, and generate pragmatic solutions.
  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize, and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment without micromanagement.
  • Attention to detail, business-friendly attitude, and a collaborative team player who can accommodate tight deadlines.
