Associate General Counsel
About the role
CSC is seeking an Associate General Counsel to own a high-volume deal pipeline and build scalable contracting processes and playbooks that let the business grow with discipline. This role is centered on negotiating and documenting the agreements that drive CSC's equipment financing business, while also supporting the General Counsel across the broader legal function.
Responsibilities
This position serves as CSC's primary attorney for deal documentation, with direct responsibility for:
- Master Lease Agreements (MLAs) and equipment schedules
- Guaranty and other financial agreements
- Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), including ownership of the NDA pipeline from intake to execution
- Vendor agreements and procurement contracts
- Hardware-as-a-Service (HaaS) agreements
- Landlord Lien Waivers (LLWs)
- Ancillary deal documentation
The Associate General Counsel will also assist the General Counsel across all legal matters, including litigation, bankruptcy, and regulatory matters as needed.
Requirements
Required qualifications include:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law
- 3–5 years of relevant transactional/contracting experience
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- Strong organizational skills, comfort with ambiguity, and a proactive mindset
Preferred qualifications include big law experience, in-house experience, familiarity with UCC Article 9, secured lending, and equipment finance structures, and experience with HaaS/SaaS agreements.

- Collaboration and adaptability skills to work effectively with the General Counsel, business teams, cross-functional teams, and outside/counterparty counsel
- Tech proficiency in platforms like Microsoft Office, AI tools, Salesforce, and DocuSign
- Process management skills to develop, refine, and own internal contracting processes
- Contract literacy to review, interpret, negotiate, and draft legal agreements with precision and clarity
Compensation & Location
The base salary for this role is $120,000–$155,000, with a bonus based on company performance. This is an in-office position, based at CSC's Richmond, Virginia office.
