Associate General Counsel

Position Purpose

Provide legal advice and strategic support to Centene’s commercial health plan business. Serves as a lead resource for commercial health plan regulatory matters, including Ambetter Health and Solutions. Advises business and compliance partners on federal and state healthcare laws, regulations, guidance, and market requirements that impact commercial product lines and programs.

Education/Experience

• Juris Doctor (JD) required: 5+ years of experience in the areas of corporate or health law required
• 1+ years of experience with government contract law, health law and managed care preferred
• Knowledge of Medicare and/or Medicaid insurance, state insurance and HMO regulations preferred
• Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills
• Demonstrated ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice in a complex regulatory environment
• Bar Admission and currently in good standing preferred

Pay

Pay Range: $185,700.00 - $352,500.00 per year
