About the role

We are seeking an Associate Fund Administration to join our team based in Boston MA or Westborough, MA. This role involves performing various fund administration activities for funds with intricate portfolio assets and transactions, such as expense allocation, budgeting, cash allocation, analysis of fund metrics, and compliance. You will also calculate daily fund position and cash reconciliations for moderately complex funds, assist in resolving escalated discrepancies, report and analyze fund revenues, expenses, profitability, and other key metrics, work extensively with clients to communicate fund expense and performance information, review fund data and monitor compliance with all regulatory, BNY Mellon, and client specifications, collaborate with internal and external auditors to provide requested information of greater complexity, compile and analyze fund performance data for inclusion in Board of Directors report materials, review fund expense budgeting conducted by support staff, provide guidance to less experienced team members as needed, and contribute to the achievement of team objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate daily fund position and cash reconciliations for moderately complex funds and assist in resolving escalated discrepancies
  • Report and analyze fund revenues, expenses, profitability, and other key metrics
  • Work extensively with clients to communicate fund expense and performance information regarding moderately complex funds and answer questions about funds
  • Review fund data and monitor compliance with all regulatory, BNY Mellon, and client specifications
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to provide requested information of greater complexity
  • Compile and analyze fund performance data for inclusion in Board of Directors report materials
  • Review fund expense budgeting conducted by support staff
  • Provide guidance to less experienced team members as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of total work experience preferred
  • Experience in accounting or fund administration preferred
  • No direct people leadership responsibility

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and reporting

Skills

  • Knowledge of financial instruments and markets
  • Experience with fund accounting software
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $52,000 and $93,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
