Associate/Full Professor of Surgery – Chief, Section of Colorectal Surgery

About the role

The Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology, University of California, San Francisco, is seeking an outstanding candidate for a full-time academic colorectal surgeon to serve as the Section Chief of Colorectal Surgery. The ideal candidate must be board certified by the American Board of General Surgery and have completed a fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery, or Complex General Surgical Oncology with a dedicated fellowship in colorectal surgery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all clinical, academic, research, and administrative activities in the Section of Colorectal Surgery.
• Lead a team of nationally recognized surgeons and healthcare professionals.
• Promote innovative surgical techniques.
• Advance research in malignant and benign colorectal surgery.
• Provide exceptional patient care.
• Collaborate with other departments and divisions to promote interdisciplinary approaches to patient care, research, and education.

Qualifications

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $190,600 - $405,900. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
