Key content: - SDSU seeks tenure-track Professor (Associate or Full) with expertise in Dissemination and Implementation (D&I) Science. - Located along US-Mexico border, diverse region. - Committed to inclusive academic community, health outcomes, reducing health disparities. - Open across disciplines, departmental home determined by expertise. - Particularly interested in D&I scientists with strong record of externally funded research, including NIH, focus on health disparities. - Candidate will serve as faculty member and core member/contributor to SDSU HealthLINK Center for Transdisciplinary Health Research (U54 Center funded by NIMHD). - For questions contact Dr. Elva Arredondo (Search Committee Chair) at email. - Interested applicants can apply at PageUp by Oct 23, 2026. Application instructions: we remove. Salary: "The minimum salary for this position is based on the current CSU salary schedule and may be revised based on contract collective bargaining. Salary placement will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience." That's specific enough for Pay section? It mentions salary based on CSU schedule, placement based on qualifications. That's substantive. We'll include Pay section. Benefits: "San Diego State University offers a rich benefits package that constitutes a major portion of total compensation. For benefits information, click here." That's generic but mentions benefits package. It's specific enough? It says rich benefits package. We'll include Benefits section. Schedule: Not mentioned. No schedule info. So we omit Schedule. Skills: Not explicitly listed as separate; but we could infer from qualifications. However we should only include sections if posting has real specific content. There's no explicit "Skills" heading. Could we create Skills from qualifications? Probably not; better to omit Skills if not explicitly mentioned. The instruction: "include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it". So we should not invent Skills. Thus sections: About the role (maybe we can use About the role heading for introductory paragraph), Responsibilities (duties), Requirements (maybe qualifications?), Qualifications (maybe separate?), Benefits, Pay. We need to decide mapping: The posting has description, responsibilities (role duties), qualifications (required). We'll create sections: - About the role: overview of position, institution, mission, HealthLINK Center, contact. - Responsibilities: duties: teaching, mentorship, research, service, community engagement, partnerships, leading initiatives, contributing to HealthLINK Center. - Requirements: maybe required qualifications (degree, etc.)? Or we could split Requirements and Qualifications: Requirements could be the required qualifications (degree, etc.) and Qualifications could be preferred/experience (funding, publications, partnerships). But the posting lumps them under "Qualifications Required qualifications by date of application" then subcategories. We could treat that as Requirements. For Qualifications section maybe we could include "Preferred qualifications" but none explicit. So maybe we only have Requirements and not Qualifications. But we need to follow instruction: prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So we could combine Requirements and Qualifications into one section called Requirements (or Qualifications). However the instruction says use headings like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We can include both Requirements and Qualifications if we have content for each. Let's see if we can split: Requirements: maybe the mandatory items: Ph.D./M.D./terminal degree, ability to teach, etc. Qualifications: maybe the preferred/experience items: independent funding, publication record, nationally recognized program, partnerships, etc. The posting lumps them but we can interpret. Thus: Requirements section: list items that are required by date of application: degree, ability to teach, etc. Actually the posting says "Required qualifications by date of application" then includes all those bullet points (Research and Scholarly Activities, Teaching and Mentoring, Leadership, Service, Professional Engagement, Intercultural and Community Engagement). So those are required qualifications. So we can put those under Requirements. Qualifications section: maybe we can include "Successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of independent funding, a strong publication record in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, and a nationally recognized research program." Also "Candidates should have experience developing and sustaining meaningful partnerships..." and "Candidates should demonstrate a record of effective teaching and mentorship..." but those overlap. However we can still put some distinct items: demonstrated track record of independent funding, strong publication record, nationally recognized research program, experience developing partnerships, etc. That seems like qualifications beyond the base. Thus we can have both sections. Benefits: as described. Pay: as described. Now we need to strip boilerplate: remove EEO, legal, SDSU Values, Equal Opportunity, etc. Also remove contact info? The contact Dr. Elva Arredondo is part of "For questions, please contact..." That's substantive? It's contact for questions; maybe we keep in About the role. It's not boilerplate. Keep. Remove application instructions (apply via PageUp). Remove "For questions, please contact Dr. Elva Arredondo (Search Committee Chair) at earredon@sdsu.edu." Actually that's contact info; we can keep. Remove "SDSU Values", "Equal Opportunity and Excellence in Education and Employment", background check statements, etc. Now craft HTML. We'll produce:
