About the role
The Bohemia, NY site is a key Thermo Fisher Scientific Global Label Services location, specializing in clinical trial labeling design, production, translation, and regulatory support for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. You will support packaging and manufacturing operations by operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting specialized folding and gluing equipment while ensuring compliance with GMP and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot folder-gluer and related manufacturing equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and equipment adjustments to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Monitor production quality and conduct in-process quality checks
- Read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and measurements
- Follow and document work according to GMP, SOPs, and safety protocols
- Accurately complete production documentation and maintenance records
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and efficiency
- Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve equipment or process issues
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing or maintenance experience
- Experience with industrial equipment maintenance and repair
- Experience working in GMP-regulated manufacturing environments
- Experience with folding machines, press operations, or similar specialized equipment
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 70 lbs
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required
- Willingness to handle chemicals and work in an industrial manufacturing environment
Skills
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures
- Familiarity with GMP, SOPs, and quality control practices
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and control systems

Pay Range: $18.23–$27.35
