Associate Financial Planning Consultant
About the role
The Associate Financial Planning Consultant will work directly with the Financial Planning Consultant to deliver successful onboarding and ongoing service of CPA planning relationships. This role is hybrid, with primary office location in Baytown, TX, requiring 2-3 days a week in-office.
Responsibilities
- Provide clients with excellent experience and facilitate client retention by building strong relationships.
- Meet with clients and CPAs as needed to present proposed solutions, gather information, complete paperwork, and provide timely and accurate follow-up.
- Effectively communicate financial concepts to clients and make suitable recommendations.
- Aid lead advisors in monitoring portfolio investments.
- Assist or conduct client meetings with the lead FPC.
- Internal management of accounts to include the maintenance of investment policy statements and ensuring accounts are invested properly.
- Responsible for assigned household relationships and delivering client service expectations.
- Updates CRM (Client Relationship Management) database with client meeting notes and activity.
- Performs various research tasks pertaining to client or advisor requests.
- Performs other duties as assigned by lead FPC.
- Maintain knowledge of industry developments and changes.
- Work toward continuous quality improvement.
- Stay current with changing technology, including software programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college or university, or at least three years related wealth management experience and/or training required.
- Paraplanning, financial modeling, tax preparation and investment solutions experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills with MS Word, Excel, CRM Database, PowerPoint, Email, and Internet usage.
- Required: Series 7/66, or 63/65 combo.
- PREFERRED: Life/health insurance license.
Travel Requirements
Up to 20% for Advisor/Firm Facing Engagements & Strategic Cetera Events.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $90,000, plus competitive performance-based bonus. Compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. Compensation ranges may differ in differing locations due to cost of labor considerations.
