Essential Functions
- Takes ownership and proactively services existing and prospective client relationships.
- Well versed in all aspects of broker/dealer systems and technology, products, and services.
- Takes ownership of all tasks and challenges encountered in the operation of the assigned position.
- Provides assistance to the financial consultant to maximize sales results and minimize administrative tasks.
- Aids the financial consultant in increasing sales and overall productivity.
- Ensures efficient ongoing operations by managing, coordinating, and maintaining appointment and referral opportunities, scheduling appointments, and following up with a tickler system.
- Develops additional referrals through assigned banking partners.
- Supports the financial consultant by processing necessary documentation, checks, and other relevant documents.
- Assists clients in servicing their relationship and processes orders with the broker/dealer on behalf of the client within regulatory limitations.
- Takes direction from the financial consultant to grow assets under management, develop leads, and increase knowledge.
- Completes assigned training within designated time frames.
Qualifications, Education, And Certification Requirements
- High School Diploma required, College Degree preferred.
- Three to five years previous investment services experience preferred.
- FINRA licenses 6, 63, 65, 7 required.
- Must be highly organized, have excellent PC skills including Word and Excel, and possess the ability to identify, research, and solve problems quickly and accurately.
- Must be able to interact professionally with co-workers, broker/dealers, referral sources, and customers.
- Must be able to listen effectively, learn quickly, prioritize work, work with minimal supervision, and shift quickly to new tasks when priorities change.
- Required annual compliance training, New Employee Orientation, continuing education classes on investments, insurance, and other financial services.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports.
- This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer.
- Can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk.
Work Environment
- Private office.
- Telecommuting roles require a secure home office environment free from background noise and distractions, a reliable private internet connection (cable or fiber preferred), and no cellular data (hot spot).
Travel
- May be required to travel to meetings as needed.
