About the role

The Associate Financial Advisor plays a crucial role in Santander's customer-centric transformation, focusing on building and deepening client relationships, delivering exceptional service, and achieving investment sales and revenue targets.

Responsibilities

  • Attain and exceed investment sales, revenue, and client engagement goals.
  • Conduct client appointments through various channels to identify financial needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of clients by strengthening relationships and delivering ongoing financial guidance.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Collaborate with branch leadership and senior investment professionals to support overall branch investment growth.
  • Provide coaching, education, and support to enhance referral generation and client engagement.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and development initiatives to enhance advisory skills and business performance.
  • Develop and execute business development activities aligned with management objectives and client acquisition strategies.
  • Build strong internal relationships and referral partnerships to support client acquisition and retention efforts.
  • Maintain accurate client records, complete operational and administrative requirements, and provide timely sales reporting.
  • Maintain all required professional licenses, registrations, continuing education requirements, and regulatory training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field - Required.
  • Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field - Preferred.
  • 5+ Years of experience demonstrating a superior record of sales achievement while maintaining high ethical standards - Required.
  • 1+ Years of experience providing investment guidance and advice to clients - Required.
  • Very strong interpersonal communication skills, complemented by both excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis and risk evaluation.
  • Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • NASD licenses: FINRA Series 7, Series 66 (or 63 & 65) - Required.
  • Appropriate state insurance licenses - Required.
