About the role

Join a financial services firm where your contributions are valued. As an Associate Financial Advisor at Edward Jones, you will work with an established Financial Advisor to serve clients, grow the branch, and positively impact communities in alignment with firm strategy. This role is essential to the client team, leveraging your unique experiences, insights, and professional background to achieve exceptional results and improve clients' lives.

Responsibilities

  • Gather information and collect suitability to deeply understand clients' and prospective clients' needs, priorities, and concerns to accelerate trust and create a personalized, comprehensive strategy to achieve their goals.
  • Meet with clients regularly to track progress toward goals, uncover additional assets, proactively address emerging concerns, and adjust their strategy to ensure their needs are met.
  • Partner with other members of the clients' professional team such as attorneys, accountants, and trust officers to fully understand clients' goals and circumstances.
  • Research portfolio performance, cost/fees, asset allocation, and changes to portfolio construction/investments, and make recommendations to clients.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Advisor and branch team to ensure alignment and create, monitor, and adjust the branch business plan to increase branch effectiveness and achieve desired business results.
  • Cultivate relationships with organizations and businesses to maintain presence in the community and obtain referrals and new business.
  • Coordinate with the Financial Advisor to assist in the creation of new clients via face-to-face and virtual sourcing strategies.
  • Continually develop yourself to grow personally and professionally.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Series 7 and Series 66 required. If not currently registered, registrations may be obtained at Edward Jones during the assigned study period.
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in the securities industry preferred.
  • FINRA licenses required within three months. State insurance licenses also required.
  • Complete all ongoing training offered by the firm and regulatory authorities, as well as required training to maintain licenses in good standing.

  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with clients while understanding legal and regulatory requirements related to selling financial solutions.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and sound judgment to provide solutions to personalized investment issues, involving the Financial Advisor when appropriate.
  • Resiliency and adaptability in a nimble learning environment.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational, and time management skills.

Pay

The hiring minimum and maximum range is a subset of the total pay range. There is also an opportunity for merit-based salary increases as you progress in the Associate Financial Advisor role.
