Responsibilities

  • Gather information and collect suitability to deeply understand clients' and prospective clients' needs, priorities, and concerns to accelerate trust and create a personalized, comprehensive strategy to achieve their goals.
  • Meet with clients regularly to track progress toward goals, uncover additional assets, proactively address emerging concerns, and adjust their strategy to ensure their needs are met.
  • Partner with other members of the clients' professional team such as attorneys, accountants, trust officers, to help fully understand clients' goals and circumstances.
  • Research portfolio performance, cost/fees, asset allocation and changes to portfolio construction/investments, and make recommendations to clients.
  • Collaborate with the FA and branch team to ensure alignment and create, monitor, and adjust the branch business plan to increase branch effectiveness and achieve desired business results.
  • Cultivate relationships with organizations and businesses to maintain presence in the community and obtain referrals and new business.
  • Coordinate with the FA to assist in the creation of new clients via face-to-face and virtual sourcing strategies.
  • Continuously develop yourself to grow personally and professionally.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Series 7 and Series 66 required, if not currently registered, registrations may be obtained at Edward Jones during the assigned study period
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in the securities industry preferred
  • FINRA licenses required within three months
  • State insurance licenses required

Qualifications

Highly developed interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain relationships, and a passion for helping others are key qualities for success in this role. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively are essential. Familiarity with financial products and services, as well as a commitment to ethical practices, are also important.

Pay

Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications. Merit-based salary increases are possible as you progress in the Associate Financial Advisor role.
