Associate - Finance (Detroit)

About the role

Taft is seeking a team-oriented associate to join our Finance group in the Detroit office. This role involves assisting in a variety of transactions representing commercial lenders and borrowers, including working capital lines of credit, term loan facilities, real estate facilities, and asset-based lending.

Responsibilities

• Assist in a variety of transactions representing commercial lenders and borrowers
• Work on working capital lines of credit
• Work on term loan facilities
• Work on real estate facilities
• Work on asset-based lending

Requirements

• 2nd – 3rd year Associate with experience in Finance
• Experience in commercial finance preferred
• Located in the Detroit office

Qualifications

• Strong academic background
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of financial modeling and analysis
• Understanding of commercial lending and finance principles
