Bridging policy and practice, CIBHS partners with state and local agencies, providers, and community organizations to deliver expert training, technical assistance and capacity building; and third-party administration services. Position OverviewCIBHS is seeking an Associate to assist in curriculum development for Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment providers. Under the guidance of the Director and Project Lead, the Associate will assist in creating training slide decks, worksheets, templates, and other training and evaluation materials. Sample training topics include data analytics basics, data validation, reporting, monitoring, process improvement, dashboard design, and Microsoft Excel best practices. The Associate will work closely with the Project Lead to ensure curriculum is aligned with program goals, project timelines, and team expectations. This role requires strong project management skills and an eye for detail, as there are multiple trainings with overlapping development timelines. This is a fixed-term position with an anticipated end date of June 30, 2027. The continuation of this position beyond the initial term is contingent upon the renewal of award funding and satisfactory performance. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop training and presentation materials, such as slide decks, run of show documents, FAQs, and other related materials. Develop trainee evaluation materials such as questionnaires, worksheets, and checklists.Monitor project progress and mitigate potential risks or issues.Support evaluation, reporting, and continuous improvement activities as needed.Collaborate with the project team to ensure effective communication and collaboration.Assist or oversee scheduling and logistical coordination for training sessions.Provide support to internal teams, external partners, customers, and participants.Assist in maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, training materials, participant lists, and evaluation forms.Contribute to the preparation of progress reports, project summary and close out reports, evaluations, and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.Support the evaluation of training and consultation initiatives to assess their effectiveness and impact, modify, and improve as needed to meet targeted goals.Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders, assisting in identifying areas for improvement. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Public Administration, Health Administration, Public Health) or equivalent experience. 2-5 years of experience in nonprofit behavioral health or SUD finance, operations, or consulting.Experience in a training role, such as training, performance management, coaching/mentoring, or other experience focused on Adult Learning Theory.Experience assisting or leading the creative development of innovative training content from concept to delivery.Advanced proficiency in writing, editing, and proofreading, with meticulous attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.Familiarity with California’s behavioral health landscape is highly preferred.
