About the role

The Project Engineer II provides pharmaceutical engineering expertise primarily in facility engineering, managing large-scale projects and multi-disciplinary teams. This role involves technical direction for complex projects, clear communication across all levels, and leadership in facility pharmaceutical engineering. You will support engineering projects including facility and utility expansion, compliance upgrades, cost reduction, process improvements, and construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for facility and utility projects, including HVAC, clean steam, WFI, electrical systems, and pharmaceutical construction methods.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international regulatory requirements for facilities and processes.
• Manage capital and expense facility projects in compliance with "Project Management Guidelines," including scheduling, budgeting, meeting management, teamwork, communication, and documentation.
• Work effectively with internal departments (Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Validation, Finance) and external stakeholders (regulatory agencies, A&E firms, contractors, vendors, equipment manufacturers).
• Contribute to short-term and long-term company objectives as defined by upper management.
• Develop detailed specifications and RFQs for A&E firms, contractors, or equipment manufacturers.
• Use engineering documentation systems required by regulatory agencies and in compliance with SOPs and quality standards.
• Manage multi-disciplinary teams and influence outcomes in ambiguous or complex situations without direct authority.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, or a similar engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of project management and/or project engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Microsoft PowerPoint, pharmaceutical facility/systems, project management, and ISPE Baseline Guides.
• Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated ability to work through complex situations.
• Skilled in managing multi-disciplinary teams and communicating with internal/external customers.

Pay

$91,950 – $122,600 annually, with opportunities for growth, promotion, and annual raises.

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (on-site in Spokane, WA).
