About the role
We are seeking an Associate Engineer, IT Laboratory Systems to support laboratory and manufacturing benchtop IT systems in a GMP-regulated environment. This role provides hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, and operational execution to ensure system availability and compliance across manufacturing and laboratory operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for laboratory benchtop equipment and IT systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments and IT hardware.
- Aid in the installation and configuration of laboratory software and hardware.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and laboratory protocols.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and support activities.
- Assist in the training of laboratory personnel on the use of IT systems and equipment.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in laboratory technology and IT systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- One year of technical support experience or relevant IT certifications required; bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of laboratory equipment and IT systems.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to execute assigned tasks with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams as needed.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with laboratory software and hardware is a plus.
- Experience with routine maintenance and troubleshooting of IT systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work non-standard schedules, including nights, extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Flexibility to support day shift operations as required to meet business needs, including coverage during planned and unplanned absences.
- Ability to report onsite within a reasonable timeframe to support operational needs.
