Associate Engineer, Engineering Development Program

About the role
The Associate Engineer is an entry-level position within Buckeye’s Engineering Development Program (EDP). As an EDP participant, you will gain exposure to a minimum of 3 critical areas of the organization through immersive assignments over 2 to 3 years. These assignments, combined with mentorship and training, will develop your professional and technical skills while helping you identify strengths and areas of interest.
Responsibilities
- Provide project support through innovative engineering solutions and preparing documentation for capital projects.
- Conduct engineering drawing walk downs and engage with key stakeholders on the review and approval of improved engineering drawings.
- Shadow and support project management throughout the project life cycle (e.g., scoping, estimating, purchasing/contracting, construction management, commissioning/close out).
- Work with disciplined engineers to provide operations support to increase asset reliability.
- Support asset integrity program implementation through data analysis, schedule tracking, and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting.
- Analyze program performance data to distill meaningful insights for prioritized maintenance work.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office
- Travel varies from 25% to 50%
Qualifications
- Pipeline & terminal industry knowledge
- EIT registration desirable
- Strong performance during prior internship or co-op
- Ability to present technical information in a simple way
- Exposure and/or proficiency in AutoCad, PowerBi, SQL, GIS
- Background in technical writing
