Associate Engineer
About the role
Kleinfelder, a Forbes' Top Employer for Engineers in North America, is seeking ambitious engineers to join our team as Associate Engineers within our Atlanta, GA office.
Responsibilities
- Collect data and gather information or documents
- Perform standard computations and analysis
- Prepare drawings and visual aids
- Aid on tasks such as: preparation of material specification/selection, technical reports, plans and procedures, drawings, permit applications, project documentation, and computer aided design (CAD) work
- Observe construction activities
- Acquire basic knowledge and develop skills in assigned workstreams
- Apply prescribed techniques and procedures in accordance with established standards, specifications, and processes
- Perform routine technical work not requiring previous experience
- Exercise limited judgment on details of work and in application of standard methods for conventional work
- Consideration for Associate Engineer position requires the following certifications or experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
- 0 - 3 years relevant work experience
- Engineer-In-Training Certification (Desired)
- Working knowledge of CAD and GIS software (Desired)
- Technical communication
- Proficient use of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
- Utility business understanding (Desired)
- Valid Driver's license
Requirements
Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.
