About the role
Taft is looking for a team-oriented associate to join our Employee Benefits group in its Cleveland, Denver, Cincinnati, or Indianapolis office.
Responsibilities
- Designing, drafting, and providing support for defined contribution plans, defined benefit plans, employee stock ownership plans, employee welfare plans, and executive compensation programs
- Merger and acquisition support
Requirements
- At least three years of experience in handling ERISA, employee benefit, and executive compensation matters
- Strong oral, research and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
- Broad understanding of ERISA, tax, and related laws pertaining to employee benefit plans
Qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to practice law in at least one state
- Passionate about employee benefits law

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail

Pay
The salary range for this position is $185,000-$235,000/year. Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted information based on work experience, education, and/or skill level.
