Associate Electrical Engineer
About the role
United Integrated Services (USA) Corp. is a U.S. subsidiary of United Integrated Services Co., Ltd. (UIS Taiwan), established in 2020 and 1982 respectively. UIS specializes in engineering and construction services for the high-technology industry, focusing on fully integrated design-build services for manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform requirements classification of clients, communicating project requirements and design reviews with internal and external design teams for Electrical systems.
- Execute the required scope of work and clarify specifications with stakeholders.
- Aid procurement team on electrical systems equipment and assist in contractor awards.
- Understand isometrics, P&ID, and CAD drawings specifically for electrical systems.
- Review, approve, and oversee the installation of electrical systems.
- Inspect work in progress to ensure conformance with specifications and adherence to construction schedules.
- Review progress reports, materials used, costs, contract payment applications, and adjust work schedules based on reports.
- Respond to Request for Information (RFI) and change orders.
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports for internal use and client communication.
- Identify and solve problems.
- Schedule and execute projects.
- Understand and review drawings and specifications, and estimate costs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 0-5 years of experience in Electrical system planning. Construction experience preferred, especially in Semiconductor construction.
Skills and Competencies: Strong understanding of high and low voltage power, lighting sockets, fire protection power, broadcasting, weak current, refuse direction indicators, grounding, lightning protection system. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Ability to use engineering software like AutoCAD, Primavera, or similar. Excellent organizational and time management skills. High level of attention to detail and highly organized. Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Effective communication skills, including verbal and written communication. Ability to present information and respond to questions from various groups. Ability to develop and maintain relationships with all levels of employees, clients, and subcontractors. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude. Ability to work in a construction site environment (trailer office).
Language Proficiency: Effective English verbal and written communication skills required. Mandarin/Taiwanese proficiency is a plus.
Additional Requirements: Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license. May require travel to other sites within Arizona for certain work functions. International travel may be required. Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, and high-visibility vests. Interaction with powered industrial equipment, tools, and vehicles.
