Associate Driver

About the Role

This role involves specialized warehouse tasks, including loading, unloading, order pulling, shipping, returns, forklift operation, fabrication, counter work, and occasional customer deliveries. You may operate a company vehicle or a personal vehicle under 10,001 GVW, and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, sort, pick, stock, stage, fabricate, and transport goods.
• Carry heavy merchandise (50-300 pounds) up and down stairs using body straps or a furniture dolly.
• Verify items against purchase orders and packing slips; report shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
• File orders for delivery and ensure proper storage of supplies and equipment.
• Operate forklifts or other machinery to complete tasks.
• Drive company vehicles to pick up stock or deliver materials to designated locations.
• Serve as an emergency backup driver (Non-DOT).
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain road safety supplies.
• Prepare and maintain records in accordance with company policies.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Work Environment

Work is typically located in a comfortable environment but may involve exposure to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. The role requires intermittent physical exertion, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting heavy or awkward materials (50+ pounds). Overnight travel is required less than 10% of the time.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in a related role.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of warehouse procedures, requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documents.
