Associate Drainage Engineer
Job Description
Parsons is looking forward to hiring an entry level Associate Drainage Engineer. In this role, you will be trained and mentored under supervision in the utilization of engineering theories and practices and gain valuable exposure to company standards and exciting projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Working under the supervision of a licensed engineer, perform spread calculations, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design, drainage tabulation analysis, and drainage map delineation to create plans for GDOT and other clients
- Approach tasks with an open mindset; propose innovative solutions to design problems
- Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review by a licensed engineer
- May track and provide initial review tasks of technicians or designers
- Responsible for managing timely completion of multiple assigned tasks
- Communicate effectively with team members and internal design groups; external communication as required on assigned tasks
- Work with internal and external sources on Environmental Resource Permitting (ERP) of projects
- Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely resume updates and participating in marketing campaigns
- Timely completion of time sheets and expense reports
- Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
