About the role

We are looking for an Associate Director – US Commercial Finance to join our FP&A team in Foster City, CA. In this individual contributor role, you will own and lead the HCV Therapeutic Area within the Liver franchise, including Revenue and Pricing (GTN). You will closely partner with cross-functional stakeholders and leadership across Finance, US Commercial (including US Sales and Marketing), and other parts of Gilead’s network. Reporting to the Head of Liver Commercial Finance, your responsibilities will range from improving contracting strategy and supporting new legislation to enhancing financial analysis models and assisting with ERP/system implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all Finance deliverables related to Revenue and Pricing within the HCV Therapeutic Area.
  • Coordinate and manage Audit and GTN responsibilities on behalf of the Liver Finance Team, working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide ongoing and ad-hoc revenue, pricing, and GTN analytical support to management and cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to HCV contracting strategy and analysis in partnership with Managed Markets and Pricing teams.
  • Support Revenue and GTN/Pricing forecasting and assumptions.
  • Serve as the point of contact for legal requests, state data requirements, and financial litigation materials within your area of responsibility.
  • Establish strong business partnerships with the US Commercial organization and supporting functions to provide comprehensive financial support and analytics.
  • Drive development of meaningful financial analyses and create effective presentations to communicate conclusions and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Lead key process improvement initiatives and proactively engage with Finance colleagues to enhance planning, analyses, and reporting.
  • Serve as an expert in relevant Gilead Financial tools/systems and provide support to the broader US Commercial Finance team.

Qualifications

  • MS/MBA with 8+ years of finance experience or BS/BA with 10+ years of finance experience with increasing scope.
  • 5+ years of operational Revenue, Gross to Net experience, and Pharma pricing knowledge required.
  • Excellent analytical and modeling skills, strong knowledge of GAAP, and solid understanding of corporate finance concepts.
  • Prior experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry is required.
  • Solution-oriented with strong analytical capabilities and demonstrated success in a deadline-driven, multitasking environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A CPA or master’s degree is preferred.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $182,070 - $235,620. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and a benefits package.
