About the role

This position will drive, implement, and manage an enterprise-wide end-to-end workforce management solution to create efficiencies impacting operational output and promote a positive team member experience by ensuring accurate and timely scheduling and pay. The role leads a team of support professionals advancing time systems technology, including implementing a scheduling program to improve production efficiency and consolidating into one time and attendance system.

The position provides technical and analytical leadership on projects, contributes to strategic planning, and ensures the time systems function upholds Tyson HR policies, business procedures, and compliance with local, state, and federal laws, union contracts, and Tyson business practices. Responsibilities include data mining for legal requests, testing system upgrades, and defining user requirements, technical specifications, and service standards to drive efficiency and consistency across the time systems function.

The leader ensures KPIs and SLAs are met to deliver accurate payroll for the hourly population on a weekly basis.

Responsibilities

  • Apply general working knowledge of hourly pay practices, HR policies, state and federal laws, and union contracts to administer company obligations while standardizing system footprints.
  • Lead and inspire a complex team with high-level technology configuration skills, including selection, development, delegation, motivation, communication, and decision-making.
  • Interpret earned time off, incentives, holidays, and location-specific preferences to configure time systems accurately, ensuring retro payments are made.
  • Build large-scale cross-functional process documentation, identify improvement opportunities, and track performance post-implementation.
  • Lead complex, enterprise-wide time system initiatives, including issue escalation, budget management, resource planning, and scope management.
  • Demonstrate exceptional technical and analytical skills to develop creative solutions and drive process improvements for optimal efficiency.
  • Manage competing priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Persevere to locate necessary data and collaborate with solutions to enable project completion.
  • Deliver high-quality, timely work resulting in highly satisfied customers.
  • Apply project management background to work successfully in a matrixed environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced computer skills related to time systems, including high competency in Microsoft Office Suite and database query/reporting tools.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to adapt communication style for all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale cross-functional projects using Tyson’s defined methodology.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and interpretation skills to drive efficiencies.
  • Supervisory experience.

Schedule

1st shift (United States of America).

Travel

5-10 domestic trips per year.
