About the role

Fitch is seeking an Associate Director-level Credit Analyst for coverage of the Telecommunications, Media, and Technology (TMT) sector based in our New York or Chicago office. Qualitative credentials and intellectual curiosity are critical, along with the ability to analyze and explain complex topics. This is a team-oriented environment requiring excellent communication skills, high productivity, and a results-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing the credit quality of companies in the TMT sectors.
  • Maintain comprehensive financial models.
  • Participate alongside senior analysts in meetings with TMT industry management teams.
  • Assist senior analysts in preparing presentations for internal credit rating committees.
  • Participate in the evaluation of other credits within Corporates and related credit groups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; CFA, CPA, or CFA candidate preferred.
  • Capital markets and/or credit analysis experience is a plus.
  • Expertise in Excel and Word.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects as priorities shift.
  • Ability to excel in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience, especially coverage or knowledge of the TMT sectors, is a plus.
  • Keen interest in the Telecommunications, Media, and Technology industries.
  • Solid financial statement analysis skills.
  • Desire to deepen exposure to and understanding of the debt capital markets.
  • Strong leadership ability and proactive stakeholder engagement, both internally and externally.

Pay

Expected base pay for this role in New York or Chicago is between $115,000 and $135,000. Actual salaries will be determined based on education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors.
