Overview of the job
We are seeking an Associate Director of Strategy, Platforms to act as the strategic and creative connective tissue between Influencer and our global social badge partners, including TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Snap, Meta, and Twitch. This role sits at the intersection of platform partnership and strategic thinking, working directly alongside platform brand partnership teams to bring unified strategy to life for their proposals, media offerings, and brand initiatives.
Roles & responsibilities
- Serve as the primary strategic liaison between Influencer and social badge partner brand teams, working hand in hand with their partnership leads on proposals and pitches.
- Develop unified strategic narratives and creative frameworks for platform-led media proposals, translating platform capabilities into compelling, brand-ready ideas.
- Provide a strategic communications and creative layer within platform offerings, ensuring proposals are grounded in cultural insight and audience understanding, not just media mechanics.
- Partner with internal Creative Strategy, Paid Media, and Insights teams to bring platform-specific thinking into broader agency capabilities.
- Stay ahead of new platform products, ad formats, and feature launches, translating them into actionable strategic opportunities.
- Lead and contribute to platform-specific RFP responses and proactive pitch decks, often under tight client timelines.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with platform partnership, marketing, and sales teams across multiple regions.
- Present strategic concepts and frameworks confidently to senior platform and client stakeholders.
- Represent Influencer at platform partner meetings, planning sessions, and key industry events.
- Maintain a deep understanding of how brands activate across social platforms and how that informs platform-led media strategy.
What you will need
- A minimum of 7-9 years experience in a strategy, communications, or creative role, ideally with direct platform or media partnership experience.
- Experience working directly with or within a social platform's brand partnerships, marketing, or agency partnerships team.
- A digital native with deep fluency across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Snap, Pinterest, and Twitch as both content and media ecosystems.
- Experience building and presenting strategic frameworks and decks for high-stakes proposals.
- A strong understanding of platform ad products, formats, and measurement capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to translate platform capabilities into brand-relevant strategic narratives.
- Solid communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders both internally and externally, including platform partners.
- The ability to manage competing priorities across multiple platform relationships simultaneously.
- A high energy and results-focused attitude, with both short-term execution and long-term partnership building in mind.
- A collaborative spirit, able to work across many functions and build rapport quickly.
