Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Commercial Director to implement commercial strategy, governance, and best practice across the US region.
- Provide senior-level commercial insight to support decision-making and programme direction.
- Deputise for the Commercial Director when required, ensuring continuity of leadership.
- Lead cost management and commercial delivery on major programmes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and client confidence.
- Oversee procurement processes, including vendor prequalification, bid assessments, bid levelling, and contract recommendations.
- Prepare and present detailed estimates, value engineering options, and commercial risk assessments.
- Validate vendor pricing using benchmarking, market intelligence, and robust challenge.
- Lead cost reporting frameworks, including forecasting, budget tracking, and commercial risk registers.
- Present commercial updates to clients and internal leadership with clarity and confidence.
- Manage payment applications, change orders, and contractual entitlements, ensuring compliance and dispute avoidance.
- Ensure all commercial outputs meet Gleeds' high standards of quality, accuracy, and professionalism.
- Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to capability development across the region.
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to training materials and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee the use of bid analysis sheets, change control documentation, estimating tools, and take-off software to ensure consistent, high-quality outputs.
About the Role
