About the Role

PRIME Education, a property of Everyday Health Group, is looking for an Associate Director who will independently conduct a turnkey process including educational grant development followed by content development for awarded grants. In this remote position, you will engage in investigative and analytical skills, cultivate relationships with expert faculty, and identify ongoing opportunities for grant development to achieve the company’s goals. The role involves completing quality scientific and medical writing, maintaining oversight of project deliverables, and contributing to the identification of publishing opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-caliber medical and scientific content adhering to adult learning principles and interprofessional education standards, seeking and applying feedback to optimize program impact.
  • Contribute to grant planning and development, including educational designs, formats, and execution plans to meet department goals and address unmet educational and research needs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key leaders in healthcare to gather expert insights for educational program needs and grant opportunities.
  • Contribute to outcomes measurement of high-impact educational programs, including measurement planning, survey development, program analyses, and communication of findings.
  • Develop scientific articles, abstracts, and outcomes-based presentations to showcase the company’s services and products.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure smooth workflow and alignment with company and department goals.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues related to instructional design, providing timely recommendations to leadership.
  • Review content developed by other medical writers and freelancers, ensuring clinical relevance and accuracy.
  • Participate in decisions regarding PRIME’s learning model and implementation procedures.
  • Attend regularly scheduled meetings of the Scientific Affairs Department, including grant and content planning sessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum Master’s degree (PhD or PharmD preferred) in a scientific, medical, or related field, with current knowledge of the healthcare industry.
  • Preferred minimum of 4 years of experience designing and developing continuing medical education (CME/CE) activities for healthcare professionals.
  • Preferred experience developing CME/CE activities supported by pharmaceutical companies, government contracts, or grants.
  • Preferred experience in training, project management, and/or staff supervision in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task high-level responsibilities, and manage projects with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strong research, design, and development skills for high-quality scientific grant and medical writing.
  • Ability to independently complete literature reviews and analyze scientific/medical research for product development.
  • Analytical and didactic ability to complete medical writing in accordance with AMA criteria and grant development procedures.
  • Proficiency in organizing and conveying educational designs and deliverables efficiently and accurately.
  • Analytical thinking skills to convey complex data results clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to gather data from verifiable sources for grant development.
  • Creative and visionary skills to identify and execute innovative educational program designs and formats.
  • Experience developing content in one or more of the following disease areas: oncology, diabetes, endocrinology, neurology, rheumatology, cardiology, ophthalmology, dermatology, respiratory, pain management, mental health, women’s health, gastroenterology, hepatology, infectious diseases, or immune-mediated inflammatory diseases.
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and reference manager applications.
