Associate Director, Regional Sales - North Central
About the role
This is a field-based role with direct customer engagement, overseeing FMI’s Clinical Sales and Customer Experience teams. The Associate Director, Regional Sales manages business results, sales activities, field sales coaching, customer experience, and cross-functional initiatives within a specific regional geography. The position involves making day-to-day decisions to deploy resources, allocate costs, and direct business activities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional and territory business plans aligned with national and commercial strategies, integrating strategic account plans into broader regional execution.
- Develop and maintain key customer relationships with C-suite and key opinion leaders (KOLs) within the region, creating mutually beneficial business solutions.
- Plan and conduct regional sales meetings to enhance sales and business skills, and convey product knowledge and applications.
- Partner with the Strategic Account Manager (SAM) team to design and oversee pull-through of strategic account management strategies at the regional level.
- Support engagement pull-through clarity with Account Executives (AEs), including refining account and individual HCP engagement plans, and engaging with senior stakeholders when appropriate.
- Train, coach, and evaluate the performance of SAMs, AEs, and Customer Experience Executives (CEEs).
- Oversee FMI’s customer relationship management solutions for a defined geographic region.
- Interact with key stakeholders, including decentralized and local C-suite for national accounts.
- Comply with FMI’s attendance policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in diagnostics, oncology, genomics, or a relevant commercial environment as a sales professional, or equivalent experience in a complex clinical setting working with physicians and patients.
- 3+ years of experience in diagnostics and at least 2 years in Oncology.
- 4+ years of Sales Management experience.
- Required to travel within the defined region.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated track record of success as a Sales Leader with experience coaching and leading teams in diagnostics, oncology, genomics, or a related field.
- Proven success coaching and selling oncology-based tests or products to medical oncology and/or pathology.
- Knowledge of scientific and technical concepts, with experience communicating this information to a range of audiences.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and customer-focused approach.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Understanding of HIPAA and the importance of patient data privacy.

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $174,080 - $217,600 per year, based on the primary location of Remote. The range considers factors such as education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
