Associate Director, Operations AI Governance

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute data governance strategies tailored to Operations, aligning with AbbVie’s enterprise goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional data governance committees within Operations to improve data quality, consistency, and lifecycle management for operational data.
  • Define and enforce data ownership roles, stewardship responsibilities, and clear processes for operations-related data.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance data management across manufacturing, supply chain, quality control, and related operational areas, including data classification, retention, and protection.
  • Collaborate with operations, digital, and analytics teams to drive adoption of data management best practices and self-service analytics in operational processes.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with internal and external data policies related to operations, such as GxP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Support audit and regulatory inspections by providing robust documentation and expertise on operations data governance and processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8+ years’ experience in data governance, operations, or data management, preferably in a pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or supply chain environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement data governance programs that deliver operational improvement and compliance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills within an operations function.
  • Solid understanding of GxP, FDA, and data privacy/compliance requirements in operational settings.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply chain data environments highly preferred.

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This job is eligible to participate in our long-term incentive programs.
