Associate Director, Oncology Outcomes Research

About the Role

Lead high-impact health outcomes and real-world evidence that define the value of our medicines and accelerate access for patients. Operate at the center of an asset team, partnering across medical, development, market access, and data science to shape strategy and deliver evidence that influences clinical practice and payer decisions. Work across global and US markets on programs from early development through launch and lifecycle management, turning complex data into clear value stories that shift payer requirements and clinical guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of real-world studies and HEOR projects that quantify and communicate asset value across global and US markets.
• Co-own asset strategy and lead execution of the Global and US Regional health outcomes plan, aligned to clinical, payer, and market needs.
• Present findings at scientific congresses; lead development of peer-reviewed manuscripts; shape internal and external narratives with evidence-based insights.
• Partner with the asset lead in review and governance forums to ensure scientific quality and compliance for sponsored research.
• Translate research outputs into practical tools and resources that equip field medical and access teams to communicate value effectively.
• Select and manage external partners and budgets to deliver high-quality projects on time and within scope.
• Maintain deep knowledge of the disease area, competitive landscape, health system dynamics, and evolving reimbursement requirements to proactively guide evidence priorities.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Graduate degree strongly preferred (PhD, MS, MPH) in health economics, epidemiology, outcomes research, or related disciplines.
• Understanding and application of epidemiological/health outcomes methodology within the pharmaceutical industry at an international level.
• In-depth expertise with research methods for real-world research, HEOR projects, including pharmacoepidemiologic models.
• Knowledge of Global and US healthcare systems and their evolving needs for health economic and payer analytic information.
• Scientific expertise in oncology with knowledge of different data sources.
• Demonstrated expertise in analytical, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
• Travel: 10-15%.

• Advanced scientific degree.
• Developed conceptual and integrative thinking with the capability to access internal and external resources for advice.
• Standout teammate who supports the asset team within the O2R organization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
• Oncology experience preferred.

Work Environment

In-person working gives us the platform to connect, work at pace, and challenge perceptions. We work, on average, a minimum of three days per week from the office while respecting individual flexibility.

Pay

The annual base pay for this position ranges from US $151,227 to $226,840. Positions offer eligibility for various incentives, including short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles, and commissions for sales roles.
