About the role
The Yale Teaching Fellowship is a collaborative program between Yale, New Haven Public Schools, Southern Connecticut State University, and New Haven Promise. The role of the Associate Director includes overseeing the program, managing recruitment efforts, coordinating with partners, and providing support to fellows and alumni.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the advancement and growth of the program.
- Provides direction and leadership supporting the philosophy, mission, strategy, and annual goals and objectives.
- Identifies, solicits, and cultivates community partnerships and collaborations.
- Develops the metrics to identify and measure the success of the program.
- Assists in identifying and evaluating potential future funding sources.
- Manages human resource and administrative functions of the program.
- Investigates, identifies, implements, and oversees the maintenance of systems to gather, track, and report information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven and extensive urban public K-12 teaching, curriculum development, teacher training, and coaching experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining collaborative relationships.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
