About the role

The Division of Enrollment Management at IU Indianapolis seeks an individual who values innovation, change, and entrepreneurial approaches to advance the mission of the institution. Key responsibilities include implementing policies, interpreting regulations, overseeing financial aid and scholarship programs, and providing guidance to other staff.

Responsibilities

  • Uses discretion to implement policies and procedures.
  • Exercises financial aid professional judgement on a case-by-case basis.
  • Interprets, implements, and applies federal, state, and university regulations.
  • Develops, implements, and manages recruitment and retention initiatives.
  • Provides oversight and supervision of graduate and professional school liaisons.
  • Ensures financial aid compliance and awarding integrity.
  • Serves as primary financial aid administrative expert for graduate and professional programs.
  • Evaluates possible courses of action and takes action based on conclusions.
  • Provides guidance and direction to other staff and subordinates.
  • Affirms efforts to meet institutional enrollment management mission and goals.
  • Maintains hiring and supervisory authority for graduate and professional school liaison positions and support staff positions.
  • Assists in making budgetary recommendations for awarding HRSA loans for graduate/professional population.
  • Reports on area activities and develops ways to assess how area meets strategic goals and objectives.
  • Serves on advisory committees and taskforces related to financial aid and scholarships.
  • Maintains hiring and supervisory authority for graduate and professional school liaison positions and support staff positions.
  • Assists in office hiring efforts by serving on committees and sharing human resources expertise.
  • Participates in ongoing professional development and continuing education activities.

Requirements

  • Required Bachelor's degree in business, public policy, or related field.
  • Preferred Master's degree in related field.
  • 4 years in student services, enrollment management, higher education student affairs, or related field.
  • 1 year of management experience in relevant field.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in financial aid required; 6+ years of experience preferred.

  • The ability to assist in annual staff conference planning, IU commencement ceremony, and other student-related events.
