Associate Director of Development, USF Health

Responsibilities

• Identifies potential major donors based on information from Donor Research, other development officers, and external contacts.
• Cultivates prospects for major, corporate, leadership, foundation, or planned gifts.
• Has extensive contact with potential donors, corporate officials, foundation officers and/or financial advisors to generate gift proposals.
• Collaborates with USF officials to identify needs that meet strategic objectives and create a strategic plan to achieve the objectives.
• Drafts proposals, letters and agreements to close planned gifts.
• Uses Microsoft office applications and Ellucian CRM Database.
• Manages general project management skills and portfolio development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience related to development or other appropriate professional experience.
• Three to five years of directly related experience in development and fundraising, preferably in a healthcare or higher education setting.
• Experience in patient engagement (grateful patient) is preferred.

The USF Health Development and Alumni Engagement team supports fundraising for various departments and institutes within the Morsani College of Medicine. The incumbent builds a portfolio of prospects focused on grateful patients and families, collaborating with colleagues in MCOM departments and the USF Foundation.
