Associate Director of Compliance, Special Services

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to school-based managers for compliance implementation
• Review documentation and service tracking to align with legal standards
• Identify and address compliance risks effectively within schools
• Ensure execution of DOE/CSE processes including evaluations and timelines
• Oversee system integrity of key compliance and data platforms
• Conduct regular compliance audits and monitor trends across schools
• Design and deliver training for staff on compliance tools and practices

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in special services or compliance operations
• Deep knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and NYSED regulations
• Proven track record of operational excellence in special services
• Strong organizational skills to manage complex multi-school processes
• Proactive problem-solving abilities with a focus on compliance risks
• Exceptional communication skills that simplify compliance guidance
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and readiness for audits
