About the Role

The Associate Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for driving standardized care conduct in assigned clinics across Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS), ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards, as well as organizational policies and procedures. This role partners with regional nurse leaders to ensure clinical staff adherence to policies and procedures, mentors and leads teams to support nursing in achieving best practice performance for quality patient care, and enhances employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Drive standardized care conduct across assigned clinics.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
  • Partner with regional nurse leaders to ensure clinical staff adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Mentor and lead teams to support nursing in achieving best practice performance for quality patient care.
  • Enhance employee engagement.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree in nursing, business, or healthcare preferred.
  • Registered Nurse in Florida, OCN certification required.
  • Valid state Driver’s License for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings.
  • Compliance with the company Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy.

Previous Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of oncology nursing experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of healthcare leadership experience.

  • Leadership and Mentoring: Ability to lead group discussions, coach, mentor, motivate, and engage others toward common goals. Experience leading projects from inception through implementation and assessment.
  • Human Resources Management: Skills in hiring, coaching, performance management, and employee relations within established policies and legislation.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Travel

25% travel required.

Schedule

Standard core workdays/hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Must be located in Florida.

Screenings

Background, drug, and nicotine screens are required. All offers of employment are contingent upon clear results of a thorough background screening. New hires must receive various vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, barring an approved exemption. FCS is a drug-free workplace, and all new hires will be subject to drug/nicotine testing. Medical Marijuana cards are not recognized.
